Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father was a teacher and her mom was a housewife. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was a talented artist and singer from the age of 6. Her passion was to show puppet shows to entertain her friends. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to work in the show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major performance in 1964 on an tv commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play the play Wind It Up And It Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the oldest daughter in the trio of towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the TV show she almost lost the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was just 16. We would've had a romance, she said. But the timing wasn't right.
